I would also like to know. I didn't really follow the Brexit deal, so I have no idea about any VAT agreements we made.
As far as I knew VAT was a tax concept to pay for the EU so now we are out we can do what the heck we like with it.

You brought up the subject of having to keep EU VAT laws
There's laws that we kept under Brexit that blocks us unilaterally removing VAT on products.
I have looked I can not find any - did you make it up.
