What have you bought today?

I bought 2 off way gigabit etrhernet switches, one for downstairs by the TV and one for up here in my attic room.

Then I realized that the one I currently have up here is already a gigabit switch.
Ah well, they were cheap enough. :)

I also bought a new spray attachement for the kitchen sink tap, I have discovered that the lever to divert the water to the spray head is passing water all the time, I guess it's the plumbing toolbag I need at the weekend :)

Also came home to a new cutlery set er indoors has bought.
Amazon do so well out of this household :)

Gold ball retriever- I don't play the game - preferring to ransack courses of lost balls and sell them, albeit this is new hobby, but it gets me out in the fresh air for a few hours.

Numbers!

We received delivery of a replacement of a promised wheelie bin, this morning - the lid came off, was lost in the truck, when it was emptied. I asked if they could provide just a lid and the fixing pins, to avoid scraping the whole bin, and I would be happy to install it, but no, had to be a complete new bin.

With the first emptying, due tomorrow morning, I therefore, had to have new numbers. I did a dash out to main st, to shop which we knew sold such numbers, but they only had one of the two needed, and at a pound each. Returned home and AV suggested she had seen them at Home Bargains, back out to try there, and got the pair for just 78p in total. Bargain!

I just have to drill a hole in the corner of the lid, so my clever pulley/lid lift system, in the bin shed, can hook-on, to raise the lid. Rather than pull the bins out, flip the lids open, to tip rubbish in - I just tug a rope handle, which raises both bin lids, still in the bin shed, and holds them open, until I click the release to drop the lids.

Our son and DIL are going to a wedding tomorrow and we're picking the grandkids up from the wedding after the meal and taking them home so that the parents can enjoy the rest of the evening, kid free. Of course, I’ve just had to go and buy a pukka car seat for the granddaughter. Off to Halfords to pick it up right now.

I bought 4 bulk bags of Self Binding Gravel to lay and now I wish I hadn't as it's too hot!

A new car. Well, ordered it today, picking it up Sept 1st. Hyundai Tucson Ultimate hybrid in ecotronic grey. Ten years ago I’d have never even considered a Korean car but the build is very good and the extra gizmo's are just too much to remember. Better kitted out than our Evoque was. Practically drives itself!

I remember that Korean cars started off pretty basic in the 1980s. Then they seemed to gradually become like slightly less advanced Japanese cars. Are they now cutting edge?

Case of wine, bottle of gin, pack of aqua soft bog rolls, off in the camper for a week in Scotland, highlight should be Sunshine on Leith at the Pitlochry theatre followed by my 69th birthday in Melrose

Very cutting edge I think and unbelievably well equipped. The only extra I specced was the grey pearl paint finish. Radars all round to keep you in lane, keep you a set distance from the car in front on cruise control, put the brakes on if you creep too near to the car in front in traffic, let you know if you've gone over the speed limit on any road, put the brakes on when pulling out or reversing out if another vehicle is coming, 360 surround view monitor to help parking, cooled as well as heated leather memory seats, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, wireless phone charger and Apple play, voice control for many operations, panoramic electric opening roof, heads up display, blind spot mirrors that throw up a camera view on your dash of your blind spot when you indicate, twin 12.3” touch screen infotainment system, and tons and tons more stuff. It can even jump start itself if you leave the lights on and the battery goes flat! Having said that, there lots there that can go wrong but it comes with a 5 year guarantee so not my problem or expense if it goes wrong.

From the blurb:
"What does 'Ultimate' mean on a Tucson?"
"The Hyundai Tucson Ultimate is the crown jewel of the Tucson lineup, offering a blend of luxury and practicality that appeals to the discerning driver".

That’s me! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

How does it drive. I haven't driven a hybrid. Presumably quite different to a normal ICE, especially a diesel.
