Santander

I experienced exactly the same problem with Barclays as a Premier customer. I walked across the road to Nationwide and took some papers home to read together with my wife. Next day we went into Nationwide and signed a few forms. They transferred everything over to new Nationwide accounts. Since then, I do occasionally draw largish sums from various accounts, but I phone in the day before and they see to me in the side office ..job done and without fuss (y) I recommend Nationwide to everyone who likes to access their own money when they want it.

I have never had a similar problem, shuffling large sums about, I recently moved £27k from one bank to another - no warning, no question, there within minutes.

If I was that bloke id just transfer the whole lot elsewhere, don't think they could stop you

A while back I found some old shape pound coins about £7 waited until I was going to be near a bank that was actually open in the first place and they would not just swap them, I had to pay them into my account and then make a withdraw - I said dont bother just keep them in the account - stupid.

One of the benefits of being really good looking is been able to deal with female bankers, I would have been able to just draw it out without any hassle. I know it isn't fair but that's life and women for you.

Tell me about it. When you add in being funny and naturally charming, sometimes it just doesn't seem fair.

Cant be right/real....can it?

Various banks have been refusing to release large amounts of cash for years now, for various reasons including:
- To prevent vulnerable customers being scammed.
- They might not have enough cash in the branch without prior warning.
- To make crime more difficult.

With a little forward planning by this guy, they would have been able to release the cash. They should make their customers more aware of this.

There was no need for this guy to be so abusive towards the staff. Any decent person would have just found out what was needed, and sorted it out, instead of being extremely rude.

I know. I am the complete package and probably why there are some on here that take offence at me, it isn't that they disagree with me it is just the fact of me being above them in ther social standing and looks dept.
