I wonder what the purpose of the crowdfund was claimed to be for, and what it actually gets used for.

Multiple teachers are on video not just celebrating the Kirk's death, but calling for more people to be shot in the same way for their views. Many in front of kids in the classroom. One teacher (ex-teacher) in Canada showed the uncut execution video to a class of 10 year olds and told them, "This is what happens to fascists." I advocate that such people should be jailed for 30 years, never mind just sacked.
Now the left is getting a taste of what they've advocated for 20 years. Except they wanted people sacked for saying men are not women, rather than calling on children to murder people they disagree with.

He never started a crowd fund. He couldn't he is dead. So how is he responsible for it.
You did think Blair (even though he is very much alive) relevant otherwise you wouldn't have mentioned him either.
as far as I know his money doesnt come from Russian oligarchs, the gun lobby or various far right dark funding

ABC has announced it will indefinitely cease airing Jimmy Kimmel Live due to comments made by the popular chat show’s host about the assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk...the show would be “preempted indefinitely” due to Kimmel’s comments suggesting the man charged with Kirk’s assassination in Utah last week, Tyler Robinson, is a supporter of US President Donald Trump.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterise this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said on Monday in a monologue on his long-running late-night talk show.
First they cancel Colbert, now they've come for Kimmel. Jon Stewart will be trying his best to join them soon, no doubt. The f-right have really tossed their cookies this time.
