Trumps Gaza peace deal?

Watching some of the celebratery footage from Gaza last night - Everyone seems fit and well, no signs of 'the starving' they seemed well dressed, clean clothes, sharp haircuts - so much for the claims of a forced famine... Is it really as bad as some would want us to believe ?... where are they all charging their mobile phones ? thought there was no electric,

we need to see the bigger picture and not be swept along by our far left wokey media

Logically, the malnourished and "starving" are still too weak and ill to be out celebrating.

Vinty and I were talking about Israel, have a guess.
So Israel passed a law that Jews who had never lived, or even maybe never visited, have a right to migrate to Israel (or Palestine) and take ownership of some land and/ or property?

Dose that sufficiently encapsulate this Jewish right of return?
How long has this Israeli law been in existence?

What was the point of this law?

Do Israel recognise the similar right of return for Palestinians?

I'm happy to be corrected.

1. Yes, the law states that Jews who have never even been to Israel have a legal right to 'return', not sure what you mean by 'take ownership of land and property', of course they could buy a house, and/or land., why wouldn't they have that right
2. 1950 with changes in 1970
3. To maintain a Jewish majority in Israel.
4. No.

Because Israel is a sovereign state it has the power to enact laws such as this.

So do you believe that the 'right of return' (it's actually a right to immigrate to israel and acquire citizenship) applies to the west bank?

After all it's the main area where there are illegal land seizures and illegal settlements built.

We both know it doesn't apply to the West Bank, we also both know my thoughts on illegal settlements in the West Bank. We also both possibly have a not too dissimilar ambition for the future of the West Bank.

I'm not sure what exactly we're arguing about here.

So Israel not only gives Jews a right to migrate to Israel and assume Israeli citizenship, and all the rights that goes with it.
But it refuses to recognise the UN Right of Return for Palestinians (Resolution 194) which was passed in 1949.

More importantly the Jewish right of return applies new Jewish immigrants to israel, greater rights than Palestinians who have lived there, on their ancestral land for generations?
In fact new Jewish immigrants can forcibly take land from Palestinians in the West Bank.

And you have the audacity to complain about asylum seekers in the UK?:oops:

You have the audacity to argue that Israel is only enacting the UN resolution of 1948?:oops:

Moreover, you'll repeatedly express your unwavering support for a sovereign state that you have shown to practice overt Apartheid, by force when Israelis choose to?:oops:

It may not, (or it may. You'll need to present the law for us to peruse) apply to the West Bank, but the West bank and Gaza is under Israel occupation, and the Israel population consider it their right to occupy Palestinian land. It's not some foreigners in Israel that are occupying Palestinian land.

We're discussing a range of issues:
Israeli Apartheid, UN Resolutions that Israel chooses to recognise, and justify its actions, your unwavering support for such a sovereign state, and your audacity to criticise asylum seekers in UK, while supporting the migration of Jews to Israel that awards greater rights than the indigenous Palestinians.

I know, it's shocking isn't it.

I could present the law, if I could be bothered but I'm not. When the law was enacted, The West Bank was Jordan and Gaza was Egypt.
