Two wrongs don't make a right, and its the BBC's job to report the facts, not present their interpretation of the facts.

But he did say them. It's the editing in question, not the content of the speech.

On a scale of trustworthiness though, the BBC is light-years ahead of many sources.
Trust Social doesn't even make it onto the rejected list.

FWIW, I agree that the BBC got this one very wrong.
Also FWIW, I hope they learn from this: if a reality check every now and again is needed to maintain or improve standards, that's a good thing in my book.
