It’s funny to see so many on here still in denial
It is emerging that the whole thing was a coup and an inside job.

There is a long standing right wing agenda to get rid of the bbc a) because there’s s lot of money to made either beeb out of the way and b) it’s suits the politics of the media barons whose agendas are challenged by journalism they can’t control. I’m not a fan of the beeb but it will definitely survive because it is a convenient and to an extent controllable mouthpiece of whichever government is in power.

Not true.
If you substantially alter a post, then yes. The mods have already explained.
Some confusion between editing as in changing, and editing as in selecting part of a quote for comment.

in no way is it being controlled by the Labour govt

it was by the last govt though -Tim Davie was a Boris plant

There is clearly influence. Davey found himself stuck between a right wing plot and a labor govt who were lukewarm about him as a perceived torey. They were waiting to replace him at charter renewal. He was in a pincer movement and jumped because that kind of pressure becomes almost impossible to deal with.

There is clearly influence.
not in the Labour govts favour

Ive never seen Labour make threats of defunding the BBC to buy policy influence -a thing the right wing media have done relentlessly

I dont think this govt has much influence on BBC -90% of the media is owned by billionaires

I hope the BBC refers to the Arkell v Pressdram case in any correspondence.

This one bit of news is 100% true!!!

Every town is affected by these immigrant/illegal immigrant gangs/people.

This is the main problem with the BBC: it doesn't represent the people who pay for it. Most of the population are now suffering the effects of unwanted immigration, yet the BBC tells us how wonderful immigrants are all the time, and report news from bloody Gaza and Israel. If you want to know what is happening in your own country, "Citizen Journalists" on YouTube are the best bet.

All part of the same report, it goes a lot deeper than Trump, climate change, Trans,, Israel Gaza war.

Oh look - a list including fixations of the swivel-eyed right.

Mr Prescott wrote: “It is hard to conclude anything other than that BBC Arabic’s story treatment was designed to minimise Israeli suffering and paint Israel as the aggressor.”

morqthana wrote: "It is hard to conclude anything other than that fillyboy's sole interest here is the destruction of the BBC".

Labor have been influenced by the millionaire press barons, that’s the point, they pull their strings as well. Bliar and his spin doctor in chief definitely influenced the beeb over wmd.

The Beeb should do what the Tory party have done.
They should implode and disappear into irrevelance.
Then make a comeback under a name.
Just like Reform formerly known as the Conservative party.
Organisations can change but keep the same name the beeb is completely different from what it was 30 years: few independent experienced journalists (replaced by autocue readers) ; foreign desks closed to save money; few reporters at the front line ( health and safety) and interesting independent programmes replaced by ratings chasing crap; no sport ( they decided not to bid for the Open etc), and endless police dramas, all a variation in the same theme.
