Trump is suing the BBC for Ten Billion USD.

hope you don't mind me emphasising your comment to make it a bit more obvious to the hard of thinking - but this is the crux of the matter, even the beeb say they got it wrong.
the crux of the matter is that you have got it wrong

No the BBC did not say they got it wrong

the BBC said the edit was wrong.

the Panorama gave the impression that Trump incited violence on Jan 6th.
Trump did incite violence on Jan 6

here is the text of the case.

seems pretty desperate to me -it focuses on claiming "extensive and reputational harm" -good luck with that

also it claims BBC engaged in substantial and not isolated business activities in Florida -good luck with that

the case is so desperate it claims that millions of people in Florida have VPN.........

I see the damp wooden spork is working hard..

"However, we accept that our edit unintentionally created the impression that we were showing a single continuous section of the speech, rather than excerpts from different points in the speech, and that this gave the mistaken impression that President Trump had made a direct call for violent action.

The BBC would like to apologise to President Trump for that error of judgement."

They have apologised for giving the mistaken impression that he made a direct call for violent action.

thats not what it says

At no point do they say the speech does not incite violence

he did incite violence, as we all know -you can try and deny that if you want to look silly

the one looking silly is you and your fellow trump haters

The text is taken from their website

They have admitted to giving a mistaken impression that trump made a direct call for violent action.

If your interpretation is correct the part "a mistaken impression" could be replaced with "an impression". Surely you don't need someone to explain the meaning of "mistaken"?

In that case the House of Representatives January 6 committee is suffering from the same 'delusion'as the rest of the world.

oh dear

poor Motorbiking hasnt thought about the words: "direct call for violent action"

Trump made a call for violent action, it just wasnt quite as direct as the Panorama programme implied

Brigadier expressed it brilliantly:

It was put together extremely well, so well as to be invisible to the casual viewer. Maliciously?, I don't know.
Well, when you look at the facts overall, and the news at the time from around the world.

And people died upholding the democracy.

And some people were pardoned. Who by?

The defamation is by him, not those reporting about it.

It was a bad edit. Agreed. But look at a full picture not a s snapshot.

Some people like to spread the false tale that thus was a frivolous attempt to extort money for a trivial matter by a person who had spilled their coffee, and to justify removal of consumer rights.

They are wrong.

"Liebeck went into shock and was taken to an emergency room at a hospital. She suffered third-degree burns on six percent of her skin and lesser burns over sixteen percent
She remained in the hospital for eight days while she underwent skin grafting. During this period, Liebeck lost 20 pounds (9.1 kg), nearly 20 percent of her body weight, reducing her to 83 pounds (38 kg). After the hospital stay, Liebeck needed care for three weeks, which was provided by her daughter.
Liebeck suffered permanent disfigurement after the incident and was partially disabled for two years."

It was an attempt by big business to evade responsibility for an injury.
Sympathy, empathy, but still... she spilt a hot drink on herself. Nobody else poured it over her. Coffee is normally a bit less hot, but tea is commonly served at 90-100 degC, it's all completely normal.

Car dealers and estate agents are famous for making extra-hot drinks, so you're forced to listen to them until it cools down enough to drink.
