What have you been doing today?

Went with friends to see a panto at the Palladium. Bloody hilarious.

Panto's are great, we went to beauty and the beast. Brilliant
Thing was, there was hardly and actual 'panto' with this one - Julian Clary, Catherine Tate, Nigel Havers, John Culshaw and a few others. Inuendo, inuendo and inuendo. I thought it was more of a variety show but the result was side splittingly funny.

We are going again next year, we had a great time. A few drinks in the bar at. interval time and a good family friendly atmosphere, we didn't get into any bother at all. Loved it.

I went to see Robin hood on the 27th, Matt Slack very funny good Trump impression...

I read it came with a warning because parents with younger kids had walked out.
Nobody walked out when we were there and there were plenty of what I’d guess were under 10’s in the audience. I think most of it went over their head. I wouldn’t have taken my kids to see it at that age - mainly because the tickets were £110 a go!

Popped into the doctors to pick up a blood test form for Mrs Mottie and I thought while I was there, I’d see if I could make an appointment for the Doc to look at my knee that I’ve been having trouble with (painful, clicking and crunching) for at least 6 months. It was 9.55am. They gave me a 10.00am appointment there and then! Doc looked at it, emailed me a list of exercises to carry out and put in a request for an x-ray. Further treatment depending on the results of the x-Ray. Never had such a quick appointment in my life. Right time, right place I suppose.
You got a face to face, just like that?
Yeah, on the spot however, it wasn’t my usual Doc, it was a locum who happened to have a spare slot. There were no other appointments so maybe it was a cancellation?
After a few weeks of hearing nothing, I looked in my NHS app and there was the booking form for the x ray. The locum perhaps should have given me that? Anyway, it said that GP referrals had to be booked by the patient and gave several locations to choose from. Of course, every phone number rang out and it was during the junior doctors strike. I thought I’d leave it until after Xmas so would try again today. I was out walking when the telephone numbers became live at 9.00 so Mrs Mottie phoned up for me. She had no luck either but on the off chance, she phoned the new well-being hub that had recently opened near us. When she said it was a GP referral that I had, they checked online and found that I had at least been put on the system for an X-ray so they offered me an appointment….at 3.00 this afternoon. Right time, right place - again!
