Washing machine cold water feed

I know the answer is going to be really simple, but I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of fittings and threads and massively confused myself, so need someone to call me an idiot and tell me the answer!
There is no shut of valve to my washing machine, it has a copper pipe with a thread on the end that the washing machine pipe connects to, then straight into the washing machine, all the shut off valves I can find are 3/4 to 15mm, but I need a female to fit on the copper pipe side, with a male the other side to then attach the machine hose? Right? No? Help!!

Well you have options: obtain a 3/4” x 15mm valve and cut into the existing pipe (water isolated of course) and do away with the existing thread or fit an isolation valve upstream of the existing fitting. You know what… at no point did I think about just removing it and fitting a 3/4 to 15mm…. That’s how deep in the rabbit hole I was! I have a few of them fittings kicking around so I will do that! Thank you! Feel free to call me an idiot as promised!!
