You're right I should give my opinion.I see you are out just being irritating and destroying a perfectly reasonable thread where sensible posters can give their opinions to this topic. Maybe some thoughts on the subject
Onerous sentences does not reduce crime.
What random beatings.? Never mentioned random beatings
I am all for capital and corporal punishment, ...Violent offences such as agravated burglary and theft of cars etc, should be met with lashes of substansial proportions to inflict not just pain but to mark the offender.

Just give your opinion and leave it at that. You're right I should give my opinion.
O, I just did. You must have missed it.
And you did mention beatings. You called them lashes which is the same thing.![]()

I was happy to do that until you denied saying you supported corporal punishment and beatings, when you clealy had.Just give your opinion and leave it at that.

We have moved on with both policing and technology since the yorkshire ripper days. Those days were all records on A to Z cards and communication was via telephones and tape recordings. All the innocent people who were wrongly convicted had people willing to swear blind they were guilty
Interestingly, the top cops put on the Yorkshire Ripper case were incompetent detectives, and failed to identify or catch him, despite numerous victim statements and photofits which looked like him. They had "earned" their brilliant reputation in the sweeney by remarkably high clear-up and conviction rates.
Obtained by planted evidence, falsified confessions, violence, and bribery.

But the justice system in the courts, which is where the punishment is decided, is much the same as it's been for 1000 years. We have moved on with both policing and technology since the yorkshire ripper days. Those days were all records on A to Z cards and communication was via telephones and tape recordings.

You have clearly learned something today from this thread in that you said "Theft of cars is not an aggravated offence" you have been shown to be incorrect and now you realise this. That is a positive outcome. You can always learn something from my intellectual threads. Well done you.I was happy to do that until you denied saying you supported corporal punishment and beatings, when you clealy had.

Your inflated ego must be smothering your senses.Car theft itself is not automatically an aggravated offense,

Like spelling.I have always said that I have something for everyone, it is one of my traits that you can learn something new and better yourself through my wisdom, not something I bragg about but just a fact. Anyone who leaves me a thanks for this is most welcome to do so and is supporting my great work. Anyways this thread is not about me although that would make a great thread, this is about should we bring back good old fashioned disciplin which appears to have sliped in this country.
Nope.Just a thought, if Trumpf is found guilty of war crimes, should he be executed?

Interesting question tbh.Just a thought, if Trumpf is found guilty of war crimes, should he be executed?
SaddoLike spelling.![]()

NopeI believe you'll find the abuse is in the statement supporting capital and corporal punishment...
And hardly an unbiased view![]()
