Bi-directional sockets already made, and two-way transfer already permitted, with a plug and play portable battery pack, more commonly called and EV.

So yes you make a good point, and I can't think of a reason why you can't plug in solar panels and battery into the same socket. I will wait and see the answers given?

I had assumed the two small pins tell the EV charging point when to turn on power? Are you saying all EV charging points are non-compliant?

We have repeated had comments on here that CEEform sockets are not permitted in domestic situations as they are not shuttered, even those with interlocked switches or other mechanisms. I dont see EV connectors are any different. In fact having worked on several I'll go further and say they appear to be identical construction. I'll leave others to argue why one is compliant but the other is not.

What has a CEEform socket got to do with an EV charging socket? But I do see your point, the 16 amp CEEform socket is the standard socket for caravans and boats, so caravans are domestic so how can they not be permitted?

The fact that unshuttered sockets are not allowed (by BS7671) in domestic installations.

Just does not make any sense. Every caravan site I have gone to with hookup have the CEEform blue 16 amp sockets, the old BS7671:2008 required 16 amps, so 13 amp is not an option, may as well say 13 amp are not allowed, as it simply does not make sense.
