**** Democracy

Investigations ongoing but thought not to be suspicious.
Doesn't stop the rumour mongers though does it...

"A spokesman for Combat Anti-Semitism Movement posted on X: "We are aware of the ongoing fires in the Jewish neighborhood of Golders Green"

"While the blaze may be accidental, we are closely monitoring the situation. Given recent anti-Semitic incidents targeting the local Jewish community, concerns are rising."

Apparently a similar event occurred 15 years ago at the same premises but it turned out to be an electrical fault as is suspected this time.

Climbing a gantry over a motorway is neither inciting hate nor violent assault.

Holding banners saying 'globalise the Intifada' and singing 'from the river to the sea' is, showing support for a proscribed terror organisation is.

Closing a motorway, stopping emergency services from using the route, inconveniencing tens of thousands of road users and potentially losing millions from the economy is more of a public nuisance, but easily worth a 5 year stretch.

ps. Why did you delete your stuff from the dredging thread?

Roger Hallam, Daniel Shaw, Louise Lancaster, Lucia Whittaker De Abreu, and Cressida Gethin were sentenced to a total of 25 years in prison for organising peaceful protests.

They were forbidden by the judge from telling the whole truth when they gave evidence

People who stood outside the court holding signs reminding jurors of what it says on a commemorative plaque on a wall in the Old Bailey were arrested for contempt of court.

Deserved all they got.

I didn't. I thought that thread was a good example of how it is possible for me and others to disagree on things, and to discuss and argue those differences of opinion without anybody going off the rails, or breaking any rules.

Some people clearly disagreed.

From the school racism thread:

I got home about 9.30pm, the last post by me was the picture of the EA dredging the River Parrett, I got home expecting to carry on the debate I was surprised to see your posts gone.

Whilst in the last 12 months I've started to report antisemitism and personal abuse against me (and will continue to do so) on this occasion it wasn't me.

FWIW although your posts on there were nonsense, I see no reason why they should have been deleted or indeed reported.

Given that witnesses swear an oath to tell "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth", aren't judges forcing people to break that oath? Do judges have the power to insist that defendants perjure themselves?

telling the truth as they see it - it's all become a matter of opinion as much as perception, these days.

You only have to read the posts of the Faragists and their mob mentality to see this.

You know the Zionists sing that too, right?

some might say you're joking but you're actually being serious, aren't you?

probably bod and his pet mod havin' a larf.

I don't know how to contact the mods directly other than starting a thread, so..
You're being disingenuous.

You know full well that you 'report' a post that contravenes forum rules - which forum rules did Morq' contravene in your opinion?

I don't think Morq contravened any rules, as I previously stated.
