Yep, I guess that's how/why it has happened - and our government (and probably other governments) seems to have bought into it ('been taken in by it') as wellI suppose anything that sounds exciting sells more products LOL even if it`s all lies

My son fitted an isolator when fitting a new consumer unit before we had a smart meter, the British Gas smart meter fitter, used the isolator, and did a very neat job.
Do you mean that he fitted an isolator and new CU at the time a 'smart' meter was fitted? If so, how dis that work logistically - did the " 'smart' meter fitting" perhps involve two visits from the fitter, or did your son do something 'naughty'?
