In summary of the World Cup and In particular this thread. We have had a marvellous tournament and witnessed some first class football. This thread I think has had the highest traffic flow in the history of DIYnot gaining 24000 views which shows an impressive lurker to poster ratio in just a few weeks. Now for the icing on the cake. @Dec27 had bet Spain would win this so we had a bet on who we thought would win, congratulations to Dec27 for winning and he has nominated Andymans club as the beneficiary of the £150 prize pot. A man’s mental health charity will be receiving this courtesy of us on the DIYnot forum, shows what and how DIYnot is a great forum when the right people are starting mega threads and everyone is joining in with the thread on a positive and friendly way. See everyone for the Euros next!!!!

Well done the both of you. Great cause. And a reminder that non of us know whos the other side of these posts. Lets be mindful that that someone might be having real mental health Issues.

Im consciously trying to be a bit gentler.
 
Just goes to show how a thread and a forum could very easily become No1 on the internet, a few bad apples pulling a forum down by being totally rude to other members and just looking for kicks by the way of insults and causing trouble, without those types this forum could have threads like this one all of the time, where new members could come onto a thread and be welcomed to have their say in a friendly manner rather than being ripped into by those that enjoy the drama. Thus new members would flock here rather than being driven away. Just a thought that's all. Who wants to spend their spare time in a toxic environment.
