I haven't noticed! I've had a more peaceful DIYNot forum since I clicked that Ignore button.

Yeah, I think Noseall has just qualified on post 3 to join 'king Silly as only my second use of the ignore button.

I don't get bothered by his posts, but I can see that others do, and it regularly derails threads into brainless bickering.

I'm absolutely happy to hear left-wing views, in fact I share many. But today's lefties seem to be utterly hostile to disagreement and even discussion, they behave like crazy cult members. I suspect they have a deep-rooted fear of thinking, they know their beliefs will crumble if they subject them to any sort of logic.

Absolutely right..if they put forward any reasonable argument instead of just insulting or showing how socially inept they are. Completely agree rational debate is fine as and when if one of them makes a point I agree with I will always like it or acknowledge but the other way it seems they just can't bring themselves to be reasonable. Maybe they are all on HRT?

This forum is great, it has all the of ingredients that makes a forum great, however there are 4 major trolls on here that also make this forum a very toxic and inhibiting environment. In order to grow this forum further and take it to the next level then these 4 trolls need serious and heavy moderation to clip their wings, clipping is needed at the very least. You would think the current mods could see this and act in a way for the good of the forum.

It is down to the site owners to get their current mods to act upon these trolls. They are probably too worried to take any action as they think it may change the dynamics of the forum. They need either a change of mods or instruct them to change the dynamics for the better. This forum could easily be taken to the next level and made a more friendly and interesting forum without destroying what it already has. What we need is for the site owners to get a grip on these 4 trolls along with their current mods. Give us results or go home should be the motto to the mods.

And when they say something you don't agree with, or when they press you on vitally important, mandatory, things, such as being able to prove things you claim as fact, you accusing them of deliberately posting antagonistic, inflammatory, irrelevant, or offensive comments or other disruptive content, or posting to ‘bait’ people, by deliberately provoking an argument or emotional reaction, in some cases by saying things they don’t even believe, just to cause drama.

Because nobody could possibly be genuine in disagreeing with you, or actually believe the contrary to you, could they.
