But the other question has to be, is why the supplier has not changed the meter? They were given something like two extra years to sort it out, so there should not have been any teleswitches left, they should have been replaced with either simple clocks or smart meters.
Strange goings-on - after RTS switchoff I had zero night consumption for 3 months, but took readings today and I have night consumption again! Ratio night/total 16%, similar to before switchoff. Anybody know what's happening?
Only one month previous to your post (not three)...
So your observations are at odds with the RTS data signalling switch off facts!
My money will be on a brief power cut, or more than one? Perhaps? Resetting something in meter(s) and/or the RTS switching box. What was the previous consumption numbers over the last 3 month (month by month: day + night = total)... was one meter simply not registering, perhaps?
Mains power cuts: had a CH programmer with built in NiCd battery backup that lasted, it seemed, forever... Until it was needed in anger (an extended power cut) one time... Think I replaced the battery and it was still working when I sold that house.. (Some 25 years from the programmer install).
My mate says... His mate says he thinks the modified meters were either 7 or 21 days wait before the electronic timer took over - different manufacturers - He can't recall which meters were involved but this was fro decades ago (I did forward the pic of your meter). As mentioned before some appliances couldn't cope with with 2 start times and my guess of washing machine seems to be correct.
Everything about this is from his mates memory, my mate knows nothing of it so all info is old and 3rd hand.
If this is the reason for readings to start again and RTS signals stopped on 26.06.26, 7 days would have been 03.07.26 and 21 days 17.07.26.
When did your readings start again?
