I used to like reading The Economist, I once studied Economics so found it interesting.
I really don't understand why a magazine supposedly based on Economics has gone so far left, it's become lefty propaganda. While ignoring that socialism fundamentally conflicts with the basic principles of economics. I definitely read it cynically these days.

About 40 years ago I read in the Economist that in India when a woman goes into a police station and and says she's been raped, as often as not she gets raped again by police officers "anxious to reconstruct the crime".
