Lena insisted on me hill running with her today, she is like a mountain goat and loves it, I am not keen but I couldnt let her go on on her own as it is pretty remote where she goes. She told me to get some proper hill running shoes, nah not me, I am way too tough for those. I think I have broke my toe...

3 miles of this terrain running, it was hot and can't really see how hilly it is, I broke my toe 3 miles in.

Exactly. I still ran back to the cottage but agony. No sympathy from Lena as she is such a comfort in my time of need and said "man up, let's go"

I broke my left ankle (and fracture / dislocated my right index finger, so it was at a right angle to where it was meant to be) while running over the Chase.
Then popped the finger back straight (ish), before hobbling 2 miles to the car.
Then I drove myself to hospital. In a manual car, so had to press the clutch with said broken ankle.

In other words, man up

Absolutely gutted. Our friend has just taken the dog to the vets for a check up and a scan as she will need worming to protect the pups and…..nothing! The dog had been putting on weight as well and she was convinced she was pregnant. They can sometimes 'absorb' a litter. She has another dog that will be coming into season in a month or two but she has said before that she doesn’t like to have pups ready to go around Christmas time because people buy them for the wrong reason. Looks like it might be next year now.

The deed has been done. Different dam, different sire. If this one takes they should be born end of August so we’d get ours in October time. Fingers crossed. Again!

She was scanned a few weeks ago. Vet says 7-9 pups in there but rarely all will survive to a successful birth. Pups due around August 14th. Fingers crossed nothing goes wrong. We're a bundle of nerves at the moment.

Looking for ideas for Kennel Club names. The first part of our friends line is always Juwanna, followed by a collection/group of something and if required, an additional name. For example, our Susie’s dad was Juwanna Buzzard as the collection was birds of prey. Our Susie’s collection was cars so her kennel name was Juwanna Sunbeam Susie. Her sister was something like Juwanna Maserati Meg. Looking for a collection name. Any ideas?

Come home early, supposed to be still in Whitby till Monday but broke my toe hill running and in too much pain as it is so hilly anyway. Walking is too much for me at the moment. Remember what a brute I am so a lesser man would probably be hospitalised.
