Fitting an isolator between meter and consumer unit.

I can imagine someone taking it back saying there are 215 and it should be 216. Possibly demanding compensation too.
What if should have had 215 but they counted 216 - do you think they would still expect 'compensation'? :-)

Do you only have red?
very likely yes.

I only have the dregs.

I assume I have 16mm² standard Tri-rated in harmonised colours and larger sizes in black but very limited.
As already stated I am in the middle of clearing out so much has gone.

Flexible double insulated singles are available, including rubber which is more flexible than tri-rated. I cleared some stock out quite recently.
Afaict these are treated as "cables" from an approval/standards point of view (and technically it's "insulated and sheathed" rather than "double insulated" though that is a pretty pedantic distinction).

Eland list single core H07RN-F in sizes from 1.5mm² to 630mm². Seems you can buy 25mm² for about £6 per meter, https://www.superlecdirect.com/supe...MIm5HX65mKlgMVkJZQBh1lViNkEAAYASAAEgIr7PD_BwE

That said, I'm not convinced I would want to use such cable as "meter tails". I'm not convinced the termainals on a meter are well-suited to fine-stranded wire, and a ferrule would likely end up exposed.

Why?
