Hi, I'm after some help, please. I've called a few gas engineers, but nobody has got back to me so far.
I'm having external wall insulation done soon, and I need to extend some piping on my outside wall (if required). Here is what I currently have. I know the white pipe above is the old condensate pipe and I've replaced this with a condensate pump, so it's no longer in use. (tested as well last week to confirm, as the old pipe still exists next to the boiler). The copper pipe is what I'm not sure about. I think it may be old PRV piping but need some clarification before cutting and insulating over.
The condensate pump pictured below has both the plastic condensate pipe and a copper pipe, which I believe is a PRV (I seem to remember this also when the installer connected it).
I think the PRV is this pipe
Which goes down to the pump.
Are my assumptions correct? Is there any other reason I'd have a copper pipe on my outside wall if it's not a PRV?
