I've had a giant union jack on my chimney for the past 4 years and nobody complained.
I think my neighbours just love the fact that an immigrant loves this country.
Johnny I love an immigrant that loves this country. I like all decent immigrants that make an effort to benefit this country.

I just cant share Bucket heads love for foreign criminals and freeloaders.

Just signed up (again) for another Amex Gold card. £195 a year but only payable from the second year on (when I will cancel before payment is due ;) ). Loads of benefits but the 'catch' is that you don’t get the benefits again if you rejoin within 24 months of cancelling so you have to time your applications. This will be my 3rd one - me and Mrs Mottie alternate. Main benefit for me will be the 4 free lounge access passes that I’ll use when going on my cruise this year. 2 out and 2 back. Gatwick lounge is a bit of a café but the Malta one is ace. Last time we went there the departures lounge was like this:

But the lounge was like this:

You can just see Mrs Mottie having a cuppa - I was off getting some alcohol down me neck. They have a veranda too where you can sit outside and watch the planes come and go. I think it’s €45pp entrance fee now but completely freeeee. For meeeeee!

* Never noticed this before but in both of those pictures, someone is giving me the evil eye. :ROFLMAO:
I love a good lounge before a flight. Virgin through them in, or did last time we flew with them.

I had the platinum charge card 15 years ago. But the fees made it worthless eventually. I might have a look at the gold card for next year though.

Worth it for the first (free) year only, especially if you have a large purchase coming up. Apart from the lounge passes, if you spend £3k in the first 3 months you get 20,000 points. Can be converted to Avios points which can be converted to nectar points plus a few more benefits. Refer a friend and you get even more points as well as them getting the benefits.

Thank you! I’ll have a look over the weekend. If I get one, do you have a referral code ?
