Good luck with trying that one on the insurers. In that case they will pay out for the stolen key as it was gained by force the rest of your positions are not covered i reckon. .
 
that is my take on it as they mention covered if there was a forced entry - using a key is not forced entry
I suppose that's why they have a generous "lock replacement" cover if your keys are stolen, as happened to a relative when her car was snatched as she was getting in.

I got the locksmith to fit a modern Chubb to replace the old lock.

My insurers wouldn't commit to that either way when I was intending to install a key safe, I never got a definite answer. They just said they were happy for me to install a key safe of any standard but reminded me that they would not pay if there was no forced entry.
