No, electric boxes switch off when you go away with the key and lock doors.
You can drive away as you said but will signal that key is not in the vehicle.
There's a sensor on the seat which tells the car nobody is in the car.

Thanks. Although mine is not technically a fully electric box, it’s a hybrid.
 
Going on a med cruise in a weeks time and P&O have just changed their policy on taking drones onboard as long as you don’t take off and land on the ship or fly over it if flying from shore (I don’t see how they can enforce that second one though) so I’m taking my one with me. Might get a chance to fly it. Anyway, I dug out my EU operators and pilots licences and bought another years public liability insurance and printed the certificate out. Thought I’d make a nice job and laminate them but not only did I do a bad job, I fecked up my laminator being tight and trying to use a scrap of laminating paper instead of a full sheet. It took it in and wrapped it around something and you can’t open it up as it’s a sealed unit. I only bought it in May so I had to run it back to Argos for a replacement. A two minute job that turned into an hour and a half of aggro. Such fun! (TM).
 
Organising our fourth and probably final trip to India in October, applied for visas on line yesterday, they arrived this morning, a years multi entry, flying with Emirates (BC) so hoping we will be eligible for a chauffeur pick up, stopover in Dubai coming back. Main content is cruising on the Brahmaputra for a week as well as a trip to Darjeeling and a few other places in the Himalayan foothills
 
Set out the tomatoes on my front wall that are just going to go to waste by the time we come back from holiday. Letting my neighbours share in my bonanza crop. Where’s Notch when you need him?
