What have you been doing today?

They aren’t now. They hate campers. Nothing of interest for me on the East coast. It was just distillery’s. Everyone has different preferences to what is interesting or worth going. Some like yourself obviously liked the East Coast. I wouldn’t return but I have to the West Coast.
My neighbours went last year, no problems, so are you saying the whole population of Northern Scotland hate campers

Oh and the locals hate camper vans.

I'm reading mixed reviews about that but don't worry, I'm from Cornwall, I'm used to the hatred.

I have some sympathy in that campers are taking over and not all campers are sympathetic to the local environment, their are problem areas in Cornwall and the council are bringing in more and more parking restrictions on overnight parking. We tend to stay only on sites or at least at designated areas that welcome campers. I do read horror stories about what people in campers get up to causing frustration to the locals, luxury motor homers seem to be the worst offenders.

The nc500 has great reviews regarding hospitality but it's grown exponentially in recent years which has caused a few issues.

I'm setting off tomorrow hoping to be in Inverness sat/sun, I'll let you know how I get on.

They look on them like gypsies, they dont spend money like the NC500 was designed to do, they leave mess all over and just park up wherever they like. Loads on it online about it, the locals do not like the NC500 and some have petitioned to get them off the list. Probably not the whole population but it is a pain for them.

Sorry to disappoint but we spend plenty on our travels, never leave a mess and stay on official sites, changing your tune now

Changing my tune? no you are trying your best to give filly a false impression through your mis information. If you go into a shop, well the shop owner will smile at you and be pleasant to take your money. However the locals who do not have shops have no interest in taking your money and see you as a hassle they can do without. Its quite simple to comprehend.

A few of us went and we ended up fighting in most places we went. Not particularly friendly in my opinion.
