Used this when in the Smoke recently.

If anyone is unaware, it is one of the newest stations, built with the aid of a "mole".

Boy is it deep!

You go down one long, steep escalator, then a second & then was there a third?

You are a looooooong way down!

I was there myself last week, and yes it is very impressive. You are of course referring to the construction of the Jubilee Line platforms which were opened at the end of 1999. The entire station was reconstructed as part of the project, but there has been a station there since December 1868. Impressively, the Circle and district lines continued in service during the construction. The platforms are a very impressive 32 meters below ground level.
