wiring cooker plates (pics included)

The electrician left earlier after doing the CU change and adding 3 new radials for hob and 2 ovens. Until the new kitchen is fitted I aim to re-fit the old cooker to allow us to eat something other than Fish and chips.

Just taken the cover plate off and electrician has run the cable into the lower part of the cooker plate which seems odd. Withthe 4mm it's probably OK, but I can't get two 10mm cables in the same connector and secure the cable in the cable restriant. I had expected the radial to run into the top of the choc connector and the hob/cooker/oven to run to bottom. Am I missing something? Picture of cooker plate below. This is the 4mm, as it's easier to see how the radial has been run in.

That's all CEF had in stock, but what about the wiring? How do I get two 10mms when the radial is connected from the bottom

some plates give you more room than others.is the 10mm one suitably rated?
its not 20a or anything silly is it?
agree with the above post,thats a poor quality outlet

It should be connected at the top. Your wiring then connects at the bottom.

thats the way its done btw.both the cables go into bottom of plate.they dont have in and out as such

Well, they cost considerably more than the ones on TLC that Lectrician pointed to, so I might just order some of those and replace them all.

They are 45A and to take 10mm cable. I have tried pretty hard, but just can't get both 10mm in which is why I believed that the radial should be in the top and cooker outlet the bottom.

I know that Scolemore AKA Click do a cooker outlet plate with 2 sets of terminals (1 supply - 2 outputs) which will fit in a 1 gang 25mm back box. Maybe that would help??

You'd need to order them from your local Scolmore dealer. but note, Eddies made me buy a box of 5! (But I used them after a while)..
