Not exactly the same, but i can tell you that your local DNO will have many installations like this sort of thing and WORSE on their LV and HV network, I can assure you Scottish Power Manweb have anyway, especially in older areas, a lot of the netowrk is held together by spit and baling wire. a lot of you will be amazed how "dodgy" your electricity supply is
