I would dispute the logic of locking a thread on the grounds that it is "pointless bickering" when it is one person being in confrontation with the majority.

While the confrontational person is un-likely to recognise the error of his or her ways the thread does provide an opportunity for other readers to appraise the ability of the confrontational person to provide informed opinions and accurate answers to questions posed.

Much better to have the participants banned from the Forum, this rubbish has gone on long enough.

My grandchildren are better behaved.

at the risk of pointless bickering - you mean the PARTICIPANT

anyone can sit there posting doubt and demanding proof when they havent a helpfull suggestion or cant offer advice - its very boorish and devalues the forum

Totally agree. The participant in question even opened a thread to cause trouble and provoke. All because the correct answer is not his answer.

It takes 2 (or 3 or 4) to tango

but it only takes one to misinform the o/p and cast doubts - problem is can the o/p realise the majority are correct

i might start posting in the car forum - i know fck all about cars but when has that ever stopped .....

No names of who ever he or she maybe.....please !

The person in question may well be about 13, we don't know.
What we do know is they should not be given access to this section of the forum.
They have no idea and totally throw the OP off.

I have/had decided to spend more time on here, and also have some very knowledgeable colleagues who are doing the same, it would be a shame to turn us away by allowing this idiot to reign

The only information I have ever posted in this forum is backed up by the manufacturer. If you don't like what the manufacturer is saying then I suggest you contact them directly and tell them that they are wrong.
Alternatively, let's have a technical debate on the subject. Over you you Saxo (or whatever name you are posting under today).

only got one name, same as i ever had ( since they deleted Joe9P) your back on your frankly worrying theme that the only way to do something is by "following the manual..." when by your own admision your out of the loop and not getting the tech updates etc, havn`t the practical experiance or know the tricks of the trade and ALWAYS fail to read and understand the o/p`s original problem or the advice given in response - and thats not just this forum either.

your nothing but a pub bore with a pc

Let's see what you know then. Will you or will you not enter into a technical discussion with me on 'locked' panels'? (he won't because he admits to knowing nothing of electronics)

No, you refer ad nauseum to some old scanny manual long sice obsolete.
I will say it again, manufacturers do not put everything in the manual - especially the one you seem to keep looking at.

Stick to plastering

If you want to prove the manufacturer wrong - then let's have that debate. You do have an honors degree in electronics don't you?

There you go again - misquoting

Check carefully and thats not what was said.
Still since when did you let fact get in the way of lack of understanding.

You know sod all on the topic, so why continue to show your stupidity
