Shame, I have Setanta for nowt but never watch it - did I mention I hate football? 
They did say it would be free tonight on sentatafornow on the radio news this evening, was that not the case?
According to the FA Head of Communication on Radio 5 the other night, they had no control over the TV rights for this match.
Once the draws have been made each countries FA puts the TV rights for their home matches out for tender and the highest bidder wins.
In this situation Setanata got the rights for Croatia v England game.
The FA could do nothing about it.
The only downfall was that none of the UK channels would pay the price Setanta wanted for the highlights package.

You could watch the matches streamed over the net. Not the best but could be better than nothing. Some of the sites from the far east can be fairly good. If you don't speak/read Chinese (or any other language for that matter), you can use 'Babel Fish' to translate the site for you (to a certain extent anyway).
I've noticed this programme on my Freeview, is it a paying service as it just a black screen
