neatest way to wire 6gang light switch

They are fine in an accesible enclosure.

They do not comply with BS7671 if installed under a floor.

If they were compliant then you could use them.
If a piece of string was compliant I could use it as a seat belt. It is a big "if"!

the question was neatest way, I offered a suggestion if they were complaint. If they are not, then what's the alternatives ?

Not to have the joints under the floor is probably the best solution.

probably best then to have the live feed appear in the switch box, as mentioned above, therefore having all the connections accessible.

Run the live, neutral and earth to the switch.
Run one cable out to each light.
Join the Neutrals together in the back of the switch using 15A terminal block.
Join the Earths together in the earth terminal, or if it isn't big enough use terminal block and a fly lead to the earth terminal.
Run the perm live to the common on the first switch then daisychain it to all the other switches.
Connect the live from each light cable to each switch in turn.
Jobs a good un.

very interesting !!!!

what kind of light fittings are they?
as this could make a difference and possibly give more options i believe

luckily not going the route of two way switching too

GU10 downlighters, and was thinking that if the housing that the wago connectors are in, is small enough to fit through one of the light fitting holes (like an LV transformer) it means they are accessible ;)

That would be easy enough too, might get a little bit crowded in the back of the switch with all the cables going to it but not impossible. Deeper back box might have been in order.

Ive just done an 8 gang like that, but with two feeds to the switch, and 4 of the 8 switches two wayed too
