Seems a shame really, I thought he was a genuine enough guy. I would absolutely have voted for him at the last election had it not been for the fact that Grantham was so staunchly conservative and my Labour vote was my best effort (sadly not successful) at getting the Tory MP out.

I wondered how long he'd last, your right its a shame but seeing the way all his comrades have been sticking the knife in, he's tarred with the same brush so "he that lives by the sword" and all that jaz, don't spec he'll go hungary but it might drive him back to the booze.

Seems we should swap MPs! I live in a safe Labour seat, in fact I'm of the theory our current bint has taken root.

now he's resigned some hidden scandals are being revealed......
apparently he was seen holding cherie, wonder what tony would think of that! :)

Poor old Charlie... remember George Brown, who had trouble standing up... and what about Churchill, on 2 bottles of Champers plus the odd Brandy or few... doesn't seem to have stopped him...

At least Charlie had the Balls to admit his problem... it seems that addiction to power (Blairitis?) is less harmfull than addiction to alcohol... many of us have the latter problem...

no it's true apparently they had to prise the bottle from his hands

cherie B'liar

urrgh no thanks

maybe he was seen holding her tightly around the throat hopefully

they showed some clips on telly last night. When you look at them in the new perspective it does make you wonder. They showed one of him throwing a bowling ball at some skittles from 10 feet away and missing badly, whilst looking really worse the wear. But then thats just the new perception i suppose. Still think its a shame

:D :D

I thought he was a decent bloke but IMHO if he has an alcohol problem he should not be leading a Party (not a political one anyway.).

Oh dear! this morning the lid dems that last week stuck the knife in are now telling us what a wonderful person he is and what a great leader he was and how brave he was to stand down and in such a dignified way with out having to be pushed etc etc etc
would you buy a second hand car off any of these people ?

I might buy Kennedy's car if it's going cheap, after all he doesn't need it anymore ;)

I would not buy a new car from them, let alone a 2nd hand car!
2 faced back stabbing sh1ts. One good thing for poor old Charlie he is now free to defect to the SNP and add some charisma to politics north of the boarder.

By adding "charisma" do you mean he'll join in the drinking your colleagues under the table brigade? ;)

He is just another WDM which does not now exist in Tone's world .. More honest when pizzed, than old Tone, stone cold sober...
Are we ready for Gordonzola to take the reigns? Where did they get the idea anyone wants another Scottish defector in a position of power this side of the border? .. I bet he is not as popular as he may think.
;) :D :D :D
