22mm gas feed necessary?

Gas Safe consider a WP at the appliance of less that about 15 mbar to be At Risk.
That to do with the gas transporter having the right to lower gas pressure during times of emergency, nothing to do do with a naf installation.

I really don't know how tony makes this stuff up. I agree with 112, I got caught recently where 22mm went from meter to boxing ,then appeared upstairs as 22mm. I fitted a Combi Andy pressure was crap, turned out some dick had connected the copper into lead where it was hidden. I upgraded at my cost, I will keep customer for years now hopefully.

Armchair engineer strikes again
Would it not be better to stay mum instead of making statements with brain in neutral?

If you think that it is a different figure then why don't you be helpful and quote what you think it is?

Is it perhaps you would argue the toss instead of admitting you had learnt something?
Self same reason why when having a discussion with you, I only divulge bare bones information
It is one thing bring helpful, another to be told you know better despite opposite being the case

I bet if you said you had made a mistake, many here would come to your aid with correct figure :)

TECHNICAL BULLETIN TB 0040 a (2010/09)

that under unusual circumstances the pressure at the outlet of the meter can be as low as 15 mbar (See BS6400-1).

To clarify, if the minimum operating pressure at the meter is measured at 15 mbar the boiler will operate safely providing:-

► The pressure drop between the meter outlet and the gas valve inlet pressure test point is not greater than 2.5 mbar when the boiler is operating at maximum output. (1 mbar pressure drop between meter and appliance + 1.5 mbar pressure drop across the internal gas cock and boilers internal pipe work)

► There is no adverse effect on any other gas appliance operating at the property, with the highest output appliance operating at full rate.

Came to light while researching the infra-structure needed to be put in place to enable a new settlement of between 2500 and 4500 houses to be built.
