Dug these up whilst gardening, just want to know what were they for, I suspect something to do with drainage.
The markings just in case you can't make it out are BS 4.5 WW .
I say 4.5 as I cannot do the imperial term, and the ww are vertical.
It looks like they were fastened to something as there are three screw holes in the back part.
Have I come across some ancient burial chamber!

they look like gutter brackets to me.

Are they four and a half inches across the rounded cutout?

Iron or a copper alloy (because of the greenish colour)?

My Initial thought was Cast iron Radiator brackets, but think John could be right with Gutter Brackets.

Yes, four and a half inch and they are definitely cast iron.
Does this mean I can say goodbye to that new 7 series BMW.

you might get a few pounds selling them to somebody who wants to restore their old house to its original glory.

Look for a nice house where the PVC is being thrown into a skip.

I'm gutted

Those will definitely sell. I sold my old metal consumer unit and bell box from the 1930s. Makes you wonder how many thousands of pounds are wasted every day in recycling centres across the country. Even worse now the council have a policy of not giving sh1t away. I've had quite a few hundred quids worth of gear out of skips.
