I think the question will be 'Is this accessible?' It is clearly not a straightforward question, if it's behind that cupboard. I would do this but use maintenance-free connectors to make myself feel more at ease.

Don't worry - it's actually a lot more common to see people being criticised for not splitting threads - and, for those who search the forum in the future, splitting has the advantage that the thread title then becomes more appropriate/relevant to the sub-topic being discussed. Some forums take thread splitting to extremes, but this one certainly doesn't!
