Haircuts.

Well, my wife gave me a haircut nearly two weeks ago and already it’s gone bonkers and is all over the place. Didn’t look too bad when it was first done - mind you, she (and I) did use the dogs thinning scissors on it! I suppose you could say I look dog rough. If my ears didn’t stick out so much, I’d have it all off!

My wife usually gives my hair a trim every 6 weeks or so.
Last month before this kicked off seriously she couldn't do it because she was going through a bad spell of fatigue and couldn't lift her arms properly.
Off I trotted to the barbers in town for a light trim. 20 minutes of mindless chatter, from a youngster from 'down sarf' somewhere who I barely understood, and have to cough up £12 !!!! To make things worse they only take cash, (suspicions of a fiddle going on here), and I only had £11 in my pocket! Had to nip to my car, which luckily was right outside, and get the other quid.
Next time I'll let it grow till my wife feels able to do it at home. LOL
£12......jeez.....£5 round here.

Try being a woman. For a haircut it's normally £50+. I've never understood why men's haircuts are so much cheaper.
I worked as a Saturday boy in a busy hairdressers earning pocket money as a young teen. I think it's the offer of coffee and the twice washed hair that adds to the bill.

Because women are daft enough to keep paying over the odds.

Here's a suggestion, when this carp is over, go in the barbers and get your Barnet sorted there. The worst that can happen is you get it fixed somewhere else, and will have learned a lesson. :)

Perhaps it's the time taken too - hairdressers don't arf natter..

I cut my own now, cheapest of all. In all my hairdresser visits, apart from once (when at 17, I asked for a mohican!) I've hated what they've done.

I have the barber run a number 2 over my head. Always thought it looked easy. Then bought clippers and had a go myself. ;) Now I know why they always go over it removing very little with a pair of scissors. Flatten it a bit though and it looks better than before I did it. :) Also went for a guide that left more so I could do that.

I've just ordered some clippers for the boys and I, getting harder to get hold of now so best get some if you've not already. The youngest will be the first victim, poor sod. Normally I try to go to a Turkish barber, they seem more thorough and you get the flaming ears treatment etc and a wash for about £12.

Randomly, chap at work shaved all of his hair off on a stag do as did the whole group, his hair never grew back, he's been completely bald ever since!
