Sat out in sun in afternoon in shorts only on deck at B&B overlooking rolling fields and horses quietly grazing. Spring in full flow, blossom out and alive with bird and insect life. I'm in Lot & Garonne near town of Fumel. In evening went to a bar for couple of halves (everyone drinks halves here only the hard drinkers drink pints - of pastis!!!), then onto a pub microbrewery with live band on tonight. Couple of old boys on guitars and young woman on drums doing Quo, Stones, Led Zep, Clapton/Cream, Them, ZZ Top, etc, etc, . All beer brewed on site, and combined my love of all things Czech by drinking the Pils made with Czech hops - all the brewing equipment is Czech too. During the proceedings went outside to get a plate of food from the van outside, and being French it was good quality - not what you would normally expect from a van. Great evening.
