If there are witnesses saying that she shouted aggressively and threw it...

You'd hope that throwing glass bottles at someone would be assault. It would be on the street if rioters targetted police officers.

All in the eyes of the viewer, some have lived a more sheltered life and perceive normal everyday occurances as violent or frightening.
