downlighters in sloping ceiling

im using tri iso thermal quilt (1" thick) on the underside of the rafter

counterbatten along that

plasterboard on the batten

does this make a differnece to your answer

As you can tell im keen to use downlighters

or shall we say SHE is keen .lol

I've just done an extension with sloping ceilings and the same sort of clearance.

just a quick question...

where is the best place to buy firehood from?

(and before you all ask, yes there is flat above me, so I need them) :LOL:

If you are using tri iso you should keep downlights a minium 200mm gap
as it is combustible.

It is about a million times easier to use fire rated downlights, rather than trying to fit firehoods to normal DLs
 
I might just do that.

The problem I brought a load of downlighter already, then realised they had no firehood/protection. :oops:
