    Polyplumb pipe + JG super seals + JG speedfit

    Buy the correct inserts for the pipe, i never use the wrong inserts but frequently have to mix brands. I find the rubber seals on the JG inserts catch on the stainless rings on HEP and Polyplumb, so i cut them off if i need to mix the two.

    You should consult someone/company who works exclusively at drainage problems. The average plumber doesn't have cctv! Lots of plumbers have very little interest in underground drainage, myself included. Too dirty! I wouldn't read to much into "cctv won't help" it won't fix the problem but...

    Fit a new cylinder stat. That would be my first guess. You could try turning it down to say 40c and see if the water then gets to 55c.

    I find a ball of denso tape does a good job of bunging the cold feed in the f&e tank.

    Get someone to who is qualified to test it/service it. It should be serviced yearly to make sure the safety features are working ok. You could get 2 new heaters fitted for a lot less than £2000.
