10 gang, 4 metre extension

Hi All,

My home office is expanding rappidly and I need a 10 gang extension lead. It needs to be 4 metre long but I can only find 2 metre ones.

Can anyone tell me if it would be wise to use 4 metre flex in place of 2 metres? Or would this mess the surge protection up?

Wouldn't dado trunking with the socket circuit properly extended into it, and surge protected sockets be a better solution?

Or with the sockets on a circuit of their own and a surge device at the origin?

yes I agree, I was after a quick fix in the meantime as I'm going to move the office into the front room in a month or so.
