Hi,

A few months ago, my missus bought a new light switch to go in our daughter's bedroom. Well, I've finally got round to decorating it and the switch she has bought is a 10ax Intermediate Switch (but hey it's pink!)

Is this any use for a standard 60w light bulb as a 1-way switch? If so, how do I wire it? It has 2 terminals labelled as "In 1 and In 3" and 2 labelled as "Out 2 and Out 4".

Many thanks,

Kev

Yep, it can be used as a normal one way switch.

Put the live into 'in 1' and the switched live into 'out 2'

If the switch operates up side down, move the switched live to terminal 'out 4'

If this is a metal switch plate, don't forget to add a link from the earth terminal on the switch to the earth terminal in the back box.
