Hi all,

in my mates bathroom he has 4 12v downlighters, non dimmed. One of the downlighters is coming on for about a second, then going out. Investigating behind the fitting I see they have individual transformers (Aurora). Is the trasfoer likely to be the cause? I'm struggling to understand why the lamp would come on at all . . . .

thanks for any ideas

cheers

They are electronic 'transformers' and are the likely cause. not expensive to replace. You can thank whoever installed them that they used one TX per light or they would all have gone out and would be more expensive to replace (approx 3 x price)

many thanks for your quick reply. I wrote the model number down so will try nd source a new one - assume I can get 'em at any decent electrical shop?

cheers

They'll be cheaper from an electrical wholesaler. Shed's add 100% for the elevator musac
