2 pin sockets+13amp plug

I have never bought direct but normally go into local whole sale outlet would gets them for me with of course his cut. But as already explained hard to get an account for one off orders.
Not sure about RS but CPC will sell to anyone who has a credit card. The small order charge is a little annoying but I'd still expect it to be cheaper than getting someone else to buy on your behalf.

When you consider you can get a 4 way adaptor for 13A plugs from poundland they are all over priced. However must admit the examples you have found takes over charging to new limits. And we worried about bankers bonuses?

Yeeesssss have you ever looked at the quality of those things, let alone what happens when you pull 13A through them.
Must be better than these

and one on right looks unfused.
Assuming that's my picture then yes it is unfused. That doesn't mean it's noncompliant though, for some crazy reason BS1363 does not require fuses in doublers only in triplers and higher.

I don't see any reason to expect that doublers and triplers are nessacerally worse than extention leads though personally I wouldn't want to pull a full 13A for sustained periods through any accessories that weren't from known good brands.

We all see these

adaptors all look the same at quick glance
They don't to me but maybe i've become attuned to such things.

Left one is a shaver adaptor. Fine for it's purpose but easy to abuse.

Middle one is a visitor adaptor. Also OK for it's purpose but the scary thing I find with these is they generally do not come with any warning about thier incompatbility with german and french earthed plugs.

Rightmost one is some peice of **** that probablly doesn't comply with anything.

Must be better than these and one on right looks unfused. We all see these adaptors all look the same at quick glance but left one has max of 1A fuse centre can take 13A fuse and on right unfused and will let one draw full 32A. In comparison the Poundland 4 way socket extension is good.

There does seem to be a problem with the 13A plug since the safety plastic bits were added to the pins and if any weight is hung from the socket it can compress the plastic and allow the plug to become at an angle to the socket. With the milli-amp draw with phone chargers and like they seem to cope but the socket can still be damaged and latter plugging high current items into same socket can cause problems.

The cheap 4 way Poundland adaptors do remove the weight from the socket with all the plugs and adaptors being on the floor. Even when it does not reach the floor it they reduce the leverage on the socket. And they are maintenance free with no screws to work loose so can't really see a problem with them if used as intended by manufacturer.

In theory they don't comply as you can plug a 13A plug in upside down and hence open the shutters without a plug to guard holes.
The more significant point is if they can't get that right what else have they got wrong.

The square 4 socket adaptors and those where plugs enter at 45 degs are really the only types that comply
I thought the branded strips were ok too, I might try this with the ones in my office sometime.
