2 port valve recommendation

When my new boiler and unvented cylinder was installed 6.5 years ago a Salus 2 port valve was used. A couple of years ago the actuator failed and I replaced it. Now I notice the vavle itself is leaking at the point where it fits into the actuator i.e. the bit that turns!

I'm assuming there's no way to fix this so a new valve is required, requiring the system to be drained.

Given the issues I've experienced with the Salus valve I plan to get another make. Are there good/bad makes? Any recommendations for good valves? I'm thinking Honeywell? I assume most motorised valves allow the actuator head to be replaced?

Are valves a standard size? If not, I guess I need to try to get one that is exactly the same size as the Salus valve, to avoid having to change the piping?

Thanks.

Honeywell for me everytime. I've got 3 valves and have used several manufacturers but Honeywell seem to last by far the longest. My mother's bungalow has a working original Honeywell 2 port from when it was built in 1981. Like many things though, I imagine that the newer versions might possibly not as robust as the originals.

I would always recommend a Honeywell..

But I admit using the look alike ones often, they are sold under various names like Tower, Corgi etc.

Never had any problem with the copies either!
