2 storey side extension

I am planning to have a 2 storey side extension built but the internal floors of the cottage and outside dpc are almost the same level as the surrounding ground outside. Will this cause a problem regarding dpc building regs when the new extension is built? How can the new extension floor match with the cottage when the new dpc should be 150 mm above ground level?
