hi all,

Apart from the obvious difference, has anyone had any experience of fixing wall cabinets to both of these materials and does the 7.3n offer more strength in this regard.

If not I'll save my money and go for the 3.6n's

3.6 aerated ones are a pain due to their crunchiness. Imagine trying to attach to rice crispy cakes.
3.6 is much easier to lift and lay.
Chasing 3.6s is easy, you can use a Stanley knife. Concrete 7s requires a lot of effort to cut and drill.
To fit our top cabinets to 3.6s I cut out the plasterboard, put an old floorboard in the hole, flush, and used a load of frame fixers and a little expanding foam to hold it up and flat. Then fixed to the board.
Fixing directly would be a game of chicken I didn't want to play.

The N rating is crushing strength and nothing to do with ability to hold fixings.

Use the right fixings for aerated blocks and the crocs will be OK.
