We had a card from our practice when Susie died, as did my mum when her Lexi died. Mrs Mottie also got a separate condolences letter from one of the receptionists who she knew from when they worked together at a GP's surgery. We plumped for a private cremation and they took a paw print before cremation. It’s in our dining room and often when I’ve had more than a drink or two with our Saturday dinner, she's looking at me and I still shed a tear or two which in turn sets Mrs Mottie off. I’m filling up even now!
