Years ago as a student I worked a summer job in an engineering workshop. Filling the lathes up with blue cooling oil and water that sort of thing. I was also tasked with getting rid of oil stains off the concrete floor and used an excellent product which came in a sack and looked a bit like cat litter. I'd sprinkle it on the concrete floor then do a sand-dance on top of it with my boots and the oil would lift off the concrete. Then I'd sweep it up and the stain was gone.

I would love to know the name of the product if anybody knows and would also like to get hold of some if it's still around.

Any other suggestions for getting oil stains off concrete off site contributors is also welcomed.
