leads to the discovery of a previously un-known super colony of Penguins. The Thriving colony of Penguins inhabits the Danger Islands in the Antarctic .

In total there were 751,000 pairs of Adelie penguins living on the Island. A species that was previously thought to be in decline

:)

Odd that; the Emperor penguins i the Arctic are in danger of dying out as the receding ice is making them have to travel further for food, and those in the Antartic are flourishing. Now do you reckon they are being traficked there.

Have they joined th EU? It could be free movement of Penguins.

Frictionless Penguins

Hmm, frictionless penguins; add in rubber cleaning gloves, and we could start a new thread.

I guess the animal that is under the greatest threat in the artic is the polar bear ??? there habitat is diminishing ???

dunno if that can be blamed on Brexit :)

Only according to Greenpeace and that All Gore bloke, and the TV charities asking for your money.

Plus - if the ice is receding surely they would have less distance to travel for food. Their food is in the sea.

Anyway, whose fault is it they breed so far from the sea?

There are no penguins in the arctic

So how come no one spotted the error before - thanks for the correction.

Plus - if the ice is receding surely they would have less distance to travel for food. Their food is in the sea.

Actually, it's a double whammy. The ice is receding, and because the water is getting warmer, the food is going further away.

Anyway, whose fault is it they breed so far from the sea?

I'm sure you'll find some conversationist that's created designated breeding areas.

Mmmm. I don't think they take much notice of people talking to or about them, :) nor probably conservationists trying to herd them.

Emperor penguins already seem to have developed the hardest possible life for themselves - breeding up to 50 miles from the water.
